Ranking players. It’s a tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, our duty to say the least. Yeah? Did I get a tune stuck in your head? You’re welcome.
We’ve been discussing the Phoenix Suns roster for the 2024-25 season and determining who the “best” player is, and then going down the line and ranking everyone else based on that benchmark and that criteria. Why? Because it’s summer and there’s not much to do. But also because it becomes a line of demarcation, a moment in time in which we capture our thoughts on the talent level of this team.
It will be interesting to revisit this as the season comes to a close, knowing that where we start is often far from where we end up. Who knows? Maybe James Jones will pull a few more rabbits out of his hat and manage to trade Josh Okogie and Nassir Little. You just never know.
